We were given a very fun gift of some tickets to Miner’s Maze Adventureland here in Colorado. (thanks Amy and family:) We were all too excited to go for one reason: the Water Walkerz ride. We fulfilled all of our dreams of walking on water!
These things were some serious fun. The boys have always talked about walking on water and they got to! I was so happy to get to do it with them. The sign said the weight limit was 210 lbs. But I still checked if I could go and he said just don’t sit on the zipper part of the ball-ha!
Miners Maze Adventureland is part of Heritage Square where one of the amazing alpine slides are (a huge slide down a mountain). We went there almost 2 years ago with Trek (6 months old), long before he was diagnosed, in a very happy, blissful time.

Peyton and Mama going up, I remember being so nervous to leave Trek with Jarrett below b/c Trek was nursing like every 20 minutes-hehe:)

and on our way out, the boys spotted this in Miners Maze Adventureland and had to try it out
he was just a baby too:)
all that to say that this little precious guy was not far from our minds the entire day:)
Back to present day…
The boys were really excited to do this ropes course that was new this year. The wait was 45 minutes, so I told them I would wait in it while they did the maze. They had a lot of fun with Jarrett doing that.
Then, just as they were finishing the maze, the sky turned dark. They decided that if they were only going to get to do one thing before it rained, that it had to be walking on the water.
and I needed an excuse to flash Jarrett a gang sign
Peyton getting into the ball, and the man giving me tips on how when I go, not to pop the ball
the best part-taking the leap!
Peyton was the only one to actually “walk” on the water, it was really hard!
save me Jarrett! and make sure you are ready to make a dash for it if I pop the ball
I gave up trying to stand
Conner! join us
I highly recommend this place, there is a great deal on LivingSocial right now for it:)
Sadly, we did get rained out. But thankfully, the tickets can be used another day, so we get to go back. The boys were pretty bummed though, so we stopped to get them some tennis shoes for when we go back (you have to have them for the ropes course), but ended up with these cute hats:) I was pretty happy about this fun day with our boys.
(oh my gosh, I just went back to re-read this and noticed I was wearing the same shirt this day, as the one I wore there with Trek-happy sigh:)
