We have been spending our days at the beach lately. I usually don’t bring my camera b/c its just a pain to keep up with and make sure sand and water stay out of it. But Jarrett was able to join us this day, so I decided to take a few minutes here and there to document our Chinese beach life.
There are a couple beaches within a 5 minute walk from our house, and we are just a 1 minute walk from the ocean itself, but our favorite beach takes about 15 minutes to get to. It’s through an amazingly beautiful jungle with a concrete walk way weaving through. The boys bring their scooters and zip ahead and up and down the hills, and I have been pushing Vesper in the stroller (very slowly waddling waaay behind the scooter boys). She is still in her baby carrier about 1/2 the time (when I need to her to not run around, mainly in the city), but oh man, I am really struggling carrying her on top of her sister-ha! Thankfully, if you get her a popsicle she will gladly stay in the stroller the entire walk to the beach.
On this morning she got an eggroll. This girl is truly embracing Chinese food, she loves it all. Almost every restaurant has eggrolls, but on Sunday mornings, when serving dim sum, a place around the corner has the best handmade eggrolls ever. I look forward to them all week.
We made it!! We usually are there on the weekdays and there is never anyone there. But it was one of Jarrett’s day off, so we were there on Sunday and its usually very crowded with tourists from mainland China. It is highly entertaining as most of them will spend the ENTIRE time taking selfies or having their friends take pictures of them, fully clothed, splashing on the shore, or jumping in the air-over and over again! hehe:)

She loves going in the big ocean and being held, but there are some awesome tide pools that keep her happy for hours.

I have not used picmonkey for editing in forever. I was having some fun editing with it and saw they got some new things, like the above picture! It was really fun (and funny) to play around with.

It’s sooo nice to be able to relax and enjoy the beach, now that Vesper does. She’s not grossed out by the sand anymore:)
But she is totally grossed out by beach trash, she is sticking her tongue out and saying “yuck” at a plastic cup.
Jarrett and Peyton finally emerged from the ocean to play in the sand for awhile.
I am so thankful for their friendship together and their friendship with me-they are amazing friends to have.
