We had an amazing year here in Texas. The highlight, of course, was having our rainbow baby. Living a life without one of your children is so confusing and painful, having Vesper did not diminish my missing Trek, but she has softened the edges of the pain, and in a way put my rose colored glasses back on.
I skipped a lot of the year on the blog since I have been lost in Peyton, Conner, Trek and Vesper land over here. So I will sum it all up to catch myself up, and have a fresh start for the year 2015!
January:
I spent most of last winter in the hospital, throwing up breakfast, and gaining weight. It would have been horrifying if it wasn’t for the fact the cutest little girl ever was making me do it. Growing Vesper made me a mess, but her perfect, so it was totally worth it:)
I turned 30 which was fun and strange. We did so much, and so much happened in our 20’s, part of me wanted to stay there, but the other part is very excited to see what this next decade brings.
The boys and I spent that month exploring the island since my morning sickness lessened. It also warmed up a bit, (after spending most of the winter in our freezing RV!), so we had fun getting out and about.
February:
We spent February staying close to the house on the cold days, and on the warm ones getting out and about. I remember thinking hard about how it was my last few days to be able to give my 2 big boys all my attention, and really enjoying my time with them.
March
We spent March getting ready for Vesper, going on field trips, visiting Granny and Granddaddy’s farm, and I had 4 photos shoots. I did 3 for other families, and a kind blog reader volunteered to come to Galveston to do my maternity ones! I have been able to do a couple more photo shoots for other families since Vesper has been born, but it was tricky doing them in between Vesper’s feeding schedule-hehe-you must feed the baby!
April:
Is a bittersweet month for us. We had 2 of our amazing 4 children in this month, but sadly Trek is no longer here for us to celebrate. We decided to go to Great Wolf Lodge for Conner and Trek’s birthday this year to help with the emotions of this month. And as it so happened (as it did when Trek was alive too), Easter was also the same week at Great Wolf Lodge:)
We also got to celebrate the addition of baby #4 with a beautiful rainbow baby shower. It was so special to be surrounded by so much love and care on that special day.
April is also baseball season!!! The boys love baseball so much. We were lucky they were on the same team this year since they were born 19 months apart. They have a built in baseball buddy and are always playing baseball together in our front yard.
May:
May!!! This month held the day that is tied (with 3 others) for the best day of my life!!! Vesper was born!!
June:
We will just call June-“Baby days”. I’m pretty sure we never left the house and we just snuggled and got to know the newest member of our family.
In June, we also celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary! I can honestly say that I love Jarrett more and more each day. If you times that by 10 years of days, then add how much I loved him at our wedding, then I love him a WHOLE bunch:)
And in June is Trek’s Angelversary. This was our 3rd year without our son and brother. We are always missing him, loving him, and thinking of him.
July:
What a fun month! Vesper and I got to attend the Wylder Nation Gala in Colorado, the boys learned how to surf, and we had lots of time at the beach.
August:
We had a back-to-(home)school party with our friends and Vesper turned 3 months old!
September:
This is a very special month for us-Peyton was born!!! He turned 9 years old!! Peyton is a joy to say the least, he is handsome, kind, thoughtful, talented, and just an amazing little boy. He really wanted a lap top this year. As soon as Jarrett got wind of this request, well, the Lego party we had planned with all his friends was out the window, and a fancy gaming laptop, complete with gaming party, was planned and ordered:) He invited Uncle Chet and Uncle Jordan and asked to go shopping for all the junk food I never let him eat! Peyton later declared his birthday the best day ever-it was a lot of fun.
October:
Vesper’s 1st Halloween and pumpkin patch!
November:
Thanksgiving, Christmas decorating, and Vesper’s 6 month photo shoot. Holidays are so special!
December:
The boys are in a basketball league, Jarrett is coaching both their teams, and they are loving it. This was Vesper’s 1st Christmas and first time to Great Wolf Lodge! The boys asked to go on a trip in place of some of their presents, so we invited my sister and parents and had an amazing family vacation! The boys got metal costume swords from Santa, so they were kind of freaking out this magical Christmas morning:)
Vesper wearing Trek’s 1st Christmas pjs on her 1st Christmas (plus a hair bow:)
Happy New Year 2015!!!
I hope its wonderful and full of lots of love and laughter!
xoxo, Chelsea
